The American Association for Cancer Research (AACR) presented several awards at its recent annual meeting:
David M. Livingston, M.D., received the 45th AACR-G.H.A. Clowes Memorial Award for his contributions to the understanding of the molecular basis of cancer. Livingston is deputy director of the Dana-Farber/Harvard Cancer Center and Emil Frei Professor of Genetics and Medicine at Harvard Medical School in Boston.
Charles L. Sawyers, M.D., was awarded the 29th AACR-Richard and Hinda Rosenthal Foundation Award for his research in molecularly targeted therapy. Sawyers
