{blacksquare} Vincent T. DeVita Jr., M.D., has been named the Amy and Joseph Perella Professor of Medicine at Yale University in recognition of his contributions to cancer research and treatment.

Director of Yale Cancer Center from 1993 to 2003, DeVita currently serves as chairman of the Yale Cancer Center Advisory Board and is a Yale University School of Medicine Professor of Internal Medicine and Epidemiology and Public Health. He was the director of the National Cancer Institute from 1980 to 1988.
