Zerhouni, M.D., director of the National Institutes of Health, is the recipient of a CEO Leadership Award from Diversity Best Practices, a group dedicated to building diversity in the workplace. The award recognizes the NIH’s efforts to ensure a diverse medical research workforce. Zerhouni accepted the award at the 2003 Diversity and Women Leadership Summit in October.
