Funding for Cancer Centers: A Challenge of Scarce Resource Allocation

David Korn

Dr. Kom submitted the following unsolicited commentary to the Journal with a notice that its views are those of the author and not of the National Cancer Advisory Board, which the author chairs. The Journal editors decided to publish this particular notice-although a disclaimer covering all published material appears in every issue. We also have chosen to provide historical information in the box on the next page so that the reader can easily discern the context of Dr. Kom's comments and the matter at issue.
