Awards, Appointments, Announcements

{blacksquare} Gabriel N. Hortobagyi, M.D., was named chair of the Southwest Oncology Group's Breast Cancer Committee. His term will start in June 2007. Hortobagyi currently is the president-elect of the American Society for Clinical Oncology board of directors and works at University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston.

{blacksquare} Kenneth J. Pienta, M.D., was named the chair of Southwest Oncology Group's translational medicine committee. Pienta currently works at the Comprehensive Cancer Center at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor.
