Erratum

"MC1R, ASIP, and DNA Repair in Sporadic and Familial Melanoma in a Mediterranean Population" by Landi et al. [J Natl Cancer Inst 2005; 97:998–1007 (Issue 13)]. On page 1002 in Table 1, the insA29 MC1R variant was mistakenly designated as a new variant allele. This variant is the same as the ins86A variant, which was first reported by Harding et al. (Am J Hum Genets 2000; 66:1351–61). The error does not alter the interpretation of the data or the authors' conclusions. The authors regret the error.
