Cancer-Related Health Claims Submitted to the FDA

  		This spring, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration lowered the evidence standard for food-related health claims. These "qualified" claims will convey to consumers the uncertainty of the science supporting the claim. Four claims regarding reduction of cancer risk are pending.
