Stat Bite: Trends in Cancer Mortality by Primary Cancer Site, 1992–2001

According to this year's Annual Report to the Nation on the Status of Cancer, incidence rates for all cancers combined decreased by 0.5% per year from 1991 through 2001. Death rates decreased by 1.1% per year from 1993 to 2001 for all cancers combined and for 11 of the top 15 cancers in men and for 8 of the top 15 cancers in women.
