Supplemental Figure 1.   Effects of inhibition or overexpression of glucose transporter-1 (Glut1) on matrix metalloproteinase (MMP)-2 mRNA expression in the rhabdomyosarcoma cell line RD.

mRNA was isolated from RD cells transfected with Glut-1 antisense (lane 1) or sense (lane 2) oligonucleotides, from RD cells transfected with Glut-1 (lane 3) or control (lane 4) cDNA expression vectors, from RD cells treated with transfection reagents (lane 5), or from RD cells (lane 6).  Expression of Glut-1 and MMP-2 mRNA was assessed by northern blot analysis. Ethidium bromide-stained 18S and 28S ribosomal RNA is shown as a control to ensure equal loading of lanes.
