Journals Impact Factor Increases
The impact factor for the Journal of the National Cancer Institute rose from 10.73 to 12.95, according to the recently released 1999 Journal Citation Reports.Impact factors are calculated annually by the Institute for Scientific Information and are based on the number of times articles in a journal are cited by other journal articles. The report reflects citations in 1999 to papers published in the Journal in 1997 and 1998.
