Erratum

Erratum: "The Risk of Death by Age, Sex, and Smoking Status in the United States: Putting Health Risks in Context" by Woloshin et al. [ J Natl Cancer Inst 2008;100(12):845–53]. The figures contain the following errors in data in the indicated cells. On page 849, Figure 2: Men never smoker, age 55, all causes combined should be 74; men never smoker, age 75, pneumonia should be 12; men current smoker, age 45, COPD should be 2. On page 849, Figure 3: men former smoker, age 40, prostate cancer should be 0; men former smoker, age 45, prostate cancer should be 0. On page 850, Figure 4: women never smoker, age 75, heart disease should be 86; women never smoker, age 75, breast cancer should be 10; women current smoker, age 45, pneumonia should be 1; women current smoker, age 50, pneumonia should be 1; women current smoker, age 70, heart disease should be 66. On page 850, Figure 5: women former smoker, age 65, lung cancer should be 23. Corrected risk charts are available as Supplementary data online. The authors regret the errors.
