O'Malley et al. (1) advocated a role for TOP2A alteration and HER2 amplification status in prediction of incremental benefit from anthracycline-based adjuvant chemotherapy in breast cancer. We believe that, with current evidence, it is inappropriate to conclude that anthracycline benefit may be predicted by HER2 and/or TOP2A status.
