It is clear that pharmacokinetic (PK) and pharmacodynamic (PD) data are important to understanding antitumor activity and in designing experimental protocols for proving or disproving predicted outcomes. However, the approach described by Poggesi et al. requires pharmacokinetic data for every experimental agent being assessed.
