Cardiac Death After Adjuvant Radiotherapy for Breast Cancer

Previously, it has been noted that breast cancer patients who receive adjuvant radiation have an increased risk of death from ischemic heart disease. In addition, patients with left-sided breast tumors receive a higher dose of radiation to the heart than patients with right-sided tumors.
